Privacy Policy
How OiVox handles your voice, profile, conversations and choices.
01. About this policy
This policy covers the OiVox app and website. OiVox is a voice-first social space: share seven seconds, discover voices by country and connect by mutual choice. For privacy questions and data requests, contact OiVox using the email on our Support page.
02. Information you provide
Information you provide can include your sign-in identifier, nickname, profile photo, country, time zone, languages and interests. Shared content includes 7-second recordings, hearts, connection requests, text and voice messages, and information you include in reports or support emails. Share only content you have permission to use.
03. Device and service information
Providing the service can involve device and app versions, language settings, IP addresses, connection and delivery records, purchase confirmations and diagnostics. These support delivery, account security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. This website includes no advertising tracker, analytics SDK or remote font service. A hosting provider may keep ordinary request logs.
04. How information is used
Information is used to operate accounts; share voice clips and open Voice Earth; support country-based discovery, hearts and connection requests; deliver messages and one-to-one calls; provide requested AI features; manage purchases; respond to reports and support requests; and maintain the service. Where required, processing relies on the applicable legal basis, such as providing the service, consent, legitimate interests or legal obligations.
05. Profile visibility and discovery
Your shared voice and the profile details displayed beside it help other people discover you. Text, voice messages and one-to-one calls are for mutually accepted connections. What you say or share can reveal personal details; avoid including private addresses, contact details or another person’s information without permission. A profile photo or badge is not a guarantee of identity or conduct.
06. Microphone, camera and media
The microphone is used for your recordings, voice messages and calls. The camera is used for video calls and media you choose to create. You can manage device permissions in your settings; features requiring a permission may be unavailable when it is refused. Shared voice clips are stored content. This policy makes no promise that live audio or video is never recorded or retained.
07. Translation and AI features
AI translation, opening lines and topic suggestions can process selected voice data, text, transcripts or conversation context. Before personal data is sent to a third-party AI service, the permission notice must explain the recipient, data and purpose and request your explicit permission. Review that notice before proceeding. Your use of AI does not give permission to process someone else’s private content. AI output may be inaccurate.
08. Recipients and international processing
Service providers may process data for hosting, storage, messaging, audio/video delivery, AI features, support and security. App stores handle their own billing. Providers must protect information consistently with this policy and applicable requirements. Data may be processed outside your country with the protections required by law. Disclosures may also be required by law or necessary to investigate abuse or protect safety.
09. Retention, deletion and security
Information is retained for the time needed to provide the relevant service, handle requests and disputes, prevent abuse or meet legal obligations. Deletion can involve removing or anonymising information and allowing backups to expire; limited purchase, legal or safety records may need to remain. The deletion confirmation should explain the scope and timing. Contact Support about a particular record. No absolute security or immediate-erasure guarantee is made.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, your rights may include access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction or objection, withdrawal of consent and a complaint to a supervisory authority. Use the account controls or contact Support with your request. Verification may be needed to protect your account; never send a password or payment-card details. Device permissions can be changed in device settings.
11. Age, website storage and updates
Follow the age and eligibility requirements shown for the service and do not misrepresent your age. Contact Support if you believe an account belongs to someone who is not eligible. This website saves your selected language and animation preference on your device. The message composer does not upload form content: you choose whether to send the prepared email. Material policy changes will be reflected in an updated version.
